Pattern: Leafy Lace Socks, 10-stitch pattern from More Sensational Knitted Socks
Yarn: Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock Lightweight, a gift from Jenna. Colorway Jade.
Needles: US 2 DPN
Mods: 50 stitches instead of the recommended 40 or 60. This messed with the pattern on the foot but fits perfect so I just did purls where the pattern would have gone on either side and left the center pattern intact. I think it looks great.
Okay, I'm cheating on this one a little bit as they're not quite completely finished but I had to show them off. Aren't they the cutest little bootees you've ever seen in your life?
Pattern: Saartje's Bootees
Yarn: Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock, Jade colorway
Needles: Two US 2 DPNs
Mods: Not exactly mods... I didn't follow the instructions for the straps quite as well as I should have and so had extra work getting them finished. One thing I can say about these bootees is that they win first prize for Most Fiddly Finishing but I think (think!) it's worth it. I ended up quitting today because I realized once I sewed on the cute little green buttons that I only seem to have three of them. Doh! I have another button that is very, very close that may have to sub in but I haven't decided yet.

Ooo, I like the socks! And someone I know needs to get preggers just so I can make a pair of those booties. They are the cutest little things!
WOW! Those gorgeous socks are TOTALLY not too tight! I think the eyelets really pop open and look awesome. The booties are supersweet - now you and their lil' wearer will have matching socks. Badass.
Can't wait to see them in person! Wednesday night at Caribou? Or Thu @ your house?
